The past seven days seem to have taken a month to pass and at the same time just one minute. In that nebulous time, I debated the length of my stay in Fayetteville and the artists of the Fayetteville Underground spent endless time debating their future. A few decisions have been made, although all I can reveal right now is that I am going to stay in Fayetteville until late November.

With all of that going on, there has not been much time for making art. Even so, I managed to start a few more paintings for my Fading glory series and varnished all the other ones.

There was time, however, to sell another painting! A patron that I talked to at length on First Thursday came back mid-week for the sole purpose of buying one of Megan and my A question of chemistry paintings. I tried to take it in my stride, although may have babbled excitedly on a bit more than usual. It seemed that less than an hour after committing to the expense of staying here for three extra weeks, the universe saw fit to try to cover some of those costs.

Also this week, the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival visited the Fayetteville Underground. I had my studio open to the almost two hundred visitors and spoke to a lot of them, as well as running all over the building making a photographic record for the organisation.

It's been a busy week. I might have to have a lie down a lot at the weekend to recover!
